This work is part of an on going series where I follow the theme of capturing human presence in the absence of people in a series of suburban landscapes. I aim to create an eerie, mysterious ambience while evoking nostalgia and tranquillity that is both unsettling and oddly comforting. Through the still nightlife of these photographs, there is an undeniable sense of familiarity and longing. The dual nature of the work means that a range of different meanings can be associated with my images. I encourage the viewer to reflect on the work and create their own narrative.
